The Origin of Our Name

Mr. Takahashi had always envisioned a project that could empower young entrepreneurs and create lasting change in local communities. Initially, he wanted to call it Project - Takushiwa, a unique term inspired by Japanese values. While not a traditional Japanese word, Takushiwa was creatively crafted from three powerful symbols:

  • 拓 (Taku) – Expansion and growth, representing bold innovation.

  • 志 (Shi) – Aspiration and vision, symbolizing a strong commitment to societal impact.

  • 和 (Wa) – Harmony and unity, reflecting the importance of community and connection.

Together, these characters form Takushiwa, symbolizing the spirit of "expanding with purpose and achieving harmony." However, Mr. Takahashi later realized that while the name carried deep meaning, it might be difficult for global audiences to pronounce and remember.

During this time, he was reading about Pax Sinica, a historical term that symbolized peace and prosperity in East Asia. The name Pax Sinica had a familiar sound to Takushiwa, yet carried a more universal appeal. Embracing both innovation and harmony, he decided to rename the project Pax Sinica—a name that bridges cultures and represents a vision for sustainable community growth.

Thus, what began as a uniquely crafted idea evolved into a name that speaks to global unity and impactful change.
